Sermon in Lafayette, Louisiana

Speaker: Hailey

Introduction:
Lafayette, Louisiana, is a small town with a big personality. It’s a place where culture, faith, and community come together in a vibrant way. The people here understand the value of heritage, the importance of faith, and the power of transformation. Today, I want to talk about the kind of transformation that not only changes individuals but entire nations. The social justice that the nations of the earth are longing for can only happen when the heart of a nation is transformed. That transformation starts with us.

Part 1: Recognizing the Call
We all like sheep have gone astray (Isaiah 53:6). But God, in His mercy, is calling us back. Many of us believe we can create new ideas and forge new paths on our own, but true transformation begins when we receive our gifts and ideas from God as a seed. When we submit to His plan, He refines our vision and leads us to greater purpose.

The Spirit spoke to me and said, “Get a second opinion.” How often do we think we have all the answers, only to realize that God’s wisdom is beyond our understanding? The disciples themselves asked Jesus for explanations because they knew their own reasoning was limited. When we seek God’s wisdom, we step into a mighty pathway being carved for the Glory of the Lord to be seen and the Majesty of the Lord to be revealed.

Part 2: Overcoming Opposition
Throughout history, God’s people have faced opposition. Charles Finney, William Branham, and Smith Wigglesworth all experienced trials, yet their ministries flourished because they relied on the power of God. Even today, believers are falsely accused, overlooked, and pushed aside. But take heart—Jesus Himself instructed us to die to self, pick up our cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24).

In this city, we understand resilience. Just as Lafayette has endured storms and hardships, so must we in our walk with Christ. The fire of God within us is getting stronger, breaking every chain that has held us back. This is the hour of restoration!

Part 3: The Role of Intercession
There is power in intercession. Many mothers and fathers have prayed faithfully for their children, their communities, and their churches. They had not given up, and the Lord is now bringing great increase as they press in with greater authority. When the storm comes, we need to hold on to the anchor with all our strength.

We must pray like never before, for the enemy has tried to bring spiritual amnesia upon God’s people. The hardships and attacks have made many forget who they are in Christ. But God is saying: BE RE-INTRODUCED TO MY POWER! Expect double for your trouble!

Part 4: The Church’s Awakening
The church is on the verge of a great awakening. There’s coming a time when the church won’t rest day and night. God is moving in unprecedented ways. We are being invited into fresh encounters with the Lord, to behold His beauty and majesty. The fire is growing, and the time for action is now!

The Body of Christ has faced many struggles, but Jesus is still the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is calling His people into alignment with His purpose. This is a time of divine transition, and unstoppable breakthroughs are coming.

Conclusion: A Call to Action
Lafayette is a city that understands community, faith, and resilience. Just as it stands strong, so must we. The Spirit of God is moving, and we must be ready. God wants the nations to be of one mind, speaking the same sacred language—then, there will be nothing we cannot accomplish.

Today, I ask you: Will you step into your calling? Will you surrender fully to God’s plan? Watch what God will do!

Glory be unto God!

Christian Dream: in Lake Charles Louisiana

Gabriella had always known Lake Charles as a peaceful town, a hidden gem in the heart of Louisiana. But one night, she had a dream unlike any she had ever experienced before. In her dream, she stood by the tranquil waters of Lake Charles, watching the reflections of the city lights shimmer across its surface. The air was thick with expectancy, and she sensed that something extraordinary was about to unfold.

As she gazed across the water, a radiant figure appeared before her. Clothed in dazzling white garments, His presence emanated peace and power. Gabriella immediately fell to her knees, overwhelmed by the majesty of the One standing before her.

“Rise, Gabriella,” the Lord spoke. “I have brought you here to show you My plans for this city and for My people.”

Gabriella stood, her heart pounding with reverence. The Lord gestured toward the water, and suddenly, the surface of the lake transformed into a vision. She saw the streets of Lake Charles filled with people—some were joyous and free, while others were burdened, weighed down by unseen chains. She saw the sick, the brokenhearted, and the lost. Among them, she noticed a group of people gathering in the open, praying fervently and laying hands on the sick. Miracles were happening before her eyes—crippled men stood up, blind eyes were opened, and the weary found rest.

“They are holding meetings in the streets and open fields,” the Lord explained. “The outcasts and the forgotten are coming forward, and they are being healed. Do you not see? My Spirit is moving!”

Tears streamed down Gabriella’s face as she watched. “But Lord, will they all be healed? Will they all receive Your grace?”

“Have I not spoken in My Word?” the Lord answered. “There were times when I healed them all, and there will be times again. My power has not diminished. Where the enemy has come to steal and delay faith, I am stirring up a hunger for My Word. There will be a revival of My truth, and chains will be broken.”

The vision shifted, and she saw a young woman—weak and frail—painting a church wall. Gabriella recognized her as someone who had once been near death, but now, she was filled with hope and determination. She listened to tapes of healing sermons as she worked, feeding on the Word even in her exhaustion. Though her strength failed her at times, she pressed on, painting with one hand while holding her Bible in the other.

“She has understood what many have not,” the Lord said. “Faith is not tested in ease but in trials. She has chosen to believe, and her healing is coming.”

Then, Gabriella saw a group of young people standing on a highway, speaking boldly. One declared, “If it’s not my time, I can walk into traffic, and I will not die!” But suddenly, a massive truck sped toward them. Just before it struck, the Lord covered her eyes. When she opened them again, the scene had changed. The youth were no longer there.

“Many believe they are invincible because they claim faith, but they do not understand My wisdom,” the Lord said. “Foolishness and faith are not the same. I have given My people wisdom to walk in obedience, not recklessness.”

The vision then shifted once more, revealing a great courtroom. A gavel struck the bench, and Gabriella heard the voice of the Lord decree, “Vindication is upon My people! Where they have been falsely accused, where injustice has ruled, I will bring forth justice! No weapon formed against them shall prosper.”

She saw a woman standing before the court, weeping. People had spoken against her, robbed her of what was hers, and left her in despair. But then, the Lord extended His hand toward her, and light surrounded her. “She will no longer live under the weight of oppression. My justice is greater than the schemes of the enemy.”

As the vision continued, Gabriella saw a disciple from long ago—Peter—standing by a fire, denying his Lord three times. His shame was evident, but then she saw another scene—Jesus, after His resurrection, restoring Peter with words of love.

“Many of My children live in guilt,” the Lord said. “They believe they have failed too greatly to be restored. But My mercy is endless. Just as Peter was forgiven, so too will I restore those who turn back to Me.”

The dream continued, and she saw believers at the gates of a new land. Giants stood before them, taunting and distracting them with noise and chaos. The believers hesitated, their faith wavering.

“They must learn to quiet the noise and listen to My voice,” the Lord instructed. “I am arming them with strategy and strength. If they listen, they will walk in victory.”

Then, Gabriella saw Jesus standing with four gifts in His hands. One by one, He handed them to His daughters. “These are the gifts of wisdom, faith, discernment, and power. They must not accept the false cloaks of the enemy but take what I have given them. Those who receive will walk ‘off the beaten track,’ forging new paths for My Kingdom.”

The vision then moved to an elderly man, sitting with his Bible open. He looked weary but peaceful. “My people have forgotten the power of covenant,” the Lord said. “A covenant is binding. My promises are unchanging. Healing, provision, and restoration are not just for yesterday—they are for today.”

Gabriella then saw a crowd of believers, their hands lifted high in worship. As they sang, sickness vanished, strongholds broke, and peace flooded the atmosphere.

“Do you see?” the Lord asked. “This is My perfect will—that My people live free, whole, and victorious. Yet many do not believe. They read of My miracles but doubt that I can do the same today. But I say to you, I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. Nothing is impossible for Me.”

As the dream began to fade, Gabriella felt a deep sense of peace. She knew this vision was a call—not just for her, but for all who would listen. When she awoke, she immediately knelt by her bed and prayed.

“Lord, let it be so. Let Your people in Lake Charles rise up in faith. Let revival come. Let healing flow. And let Your name be glorified.”

She knew this was only the beginning. A great move of God was coming to her city, and she was ready to be part of it.

Revival and Renewal: In Baton Rouge

On a warm Sunday evening in Baton Rouge, the congregation gathered in the fellowship hall of their local church for a discussion led by Liliana. The room was filled with the hum of quiet conversations, the scent of freshly brewed coffee, and the comforting presence of familiar faces. This gathering was not just another meeting; it was a time for reflection, learning, and the sharing of faith in a city known for its deep-rooted traditions and vibrant culture.

Liliana stood at the front, her Bible open, and her eyes bright with enthusiasm. “Jesus said, ‘Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst’ (Matthew 18:20). Tonight, we are here in His name, seeking His presence and guidance. Let us open our hearts to what He wants to reveal to us.”

She began by sharing the story of a church that had invested heavily in a building project, constructing a three-story brick structure in the middle of a crowded city. “They built it in a hollow square, ensuring that light and air could reach every corner. What can we learn from this? God calls us to build, not just structures, but our faith, our communities, and our lives in a way that allows His light and presence to reach every part. We must not be closed off or isolated but open to His movement.”

A member of the congregation, Pastor James, posed a thought-provoking question: “Would you advise a pastor to hold an evangelistic meeting every Sunday night?” Liliana smiled. “It depends on the heart behind it. Evangelism isn’t about routine; it’s about a calling. If God is leading the church in that direction, then yes. But let’s also remember that worship and discipleship are just as important. We are called not just to introduce people to Christ but to walk with them in their faith.”

Another member raised a concern about spiritual deception, referencing Matthew 24:24: “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” Liliana nodded. “Yes, we must be vigilant. The Bible warns of deception, even among those who claim to follow Christ. That is why we must always anchor ourselves in God’s Word and seek His discernment.”

She then guided the discussion to the significance of Jesus’ transfiguration, where He took His disciples to a high mountain. “Jesus didn’t just take them on a hike,” she said. “He gave them a glimpse into the eternal, into the divine. In our own spiritual journeys, we have these moments—times when we feel close to God, when He reveals Himself in ways we cannot deny. How do we hold onto these moments when life gets difficult?”

Elder Thomas responded, “By remembering His promises. Jesus said, ‘He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.’ If we keep our eyes on Him, we will never be lost.”

As the discussion deepened, they touched upon the state of the modern church. “Some churches today are building for themselves rather than for God’s purpose,” Liliana remarked. “But we are called to build according to His ways, His blueprint, and His strategy. When we do that, we will see His hand move in powerful ways.”

An older woman in the group, Sister Marjorie, recalled the story of a pastor who had once been well-loved but had lost the support of his congregation over time. “It’s easy to start strong, but without humility and dependence on God, even the best leaders can struggle,” she said.

The discussion then turned to Revelation 18 and the fall of Babylon. “We see that even the greatest earthly systems will crumble,” Liliana explained. “What matters is not the strength of human institutions but the foundation they are built upon. Are we building our lives on Christ, or on the shifting sands of this world?”

A younger member, David, asked, “How do we stay strong when the world around us seems to be falling apart?”

Liliana answered, “By faith. Faith must be coupled with action. The Bible says, ‘The name of Jesus is the name of the One who came as the Seed of the woman to crush the head of the serpent’ (Genesis 3:15). Jesus has already won the victory, but we must choose to walk in it every day.”

As the discussion continued, a powerful theme emerged: the need for revival. “We are seeing an increase in spiritual hunger, much like in the days of Kathryn Kuhlman and Maria Woodworth-Etter,” Liliana said. “God is calling us to step into a new season of faith. We must be ready.”

Another member read from Revelation 22:8, where John fell at the feet of an angel to worship. “Even the greatest among us can be misled if we are not careful,” he said. “We must worship God alone.”

As the evening drew to a close, Liliana reminded everyone of God’s faithfulness. “The Bible says, ‘Stay close to Me, stay in My presence.’ That is our calling. No matter what the world says, no matter what challenges come our way, we must stay rooted in Him.”

The discussion ended with a time of prayer, as each member of the congregation lifted their voices to God, asking for His guidance, strength, and renewal. As they left the fellowship hall, there was a renewed sense of purpose, a deeper commitment to faith, and an understanding that in Baton Rouge—amidst its history, its culture, and its vibrant community—the presence of God was alive and moving among His people.
