Truth Like a Ton of Bricks

Some stories that are a testament to the indomitable spirit that emerges when we face the infernos of life, the gatherings where divine wisdom is sought, and the moments when the truth hits us like a ton of bricks.

In a world aflame, a woman flees the encroaching wildfires, convinced that her newly built haven had succumbed to the merciless flames.
Yet, amidst the chaos, a miraculous touch spared her abode, leaving it untouched by the fiery tempest.
This story resonates with the miraculous protection of God, a theme echoed throughout these testimonies.

The Queensland Prophetic Council,

a gathering of believers, convened in early December to pray, prophesy, and discern the word of the Lord for 2024.
Such gatherings are wellsprings of divine insight, where the faithful seek guidance, assurance, and a deeper connection with the divine.

A pastor and his wife prayed for a soul in distress, lifting the mental fog and dispelling delusional thoughts.
The healing power of prayer, a recurrent theme in these stories, transcends the physical and touches the very core of our being.

The question echoes, “Is the Bible true?”
A challenge posed, forcing us to grapple with the foundational truths of our faith.
The words of Ezekiel 11:19 resonate, promising an undivided heart and a spirit renewed—a promise that invites contemplation and conviction.

Pausing, removing oneself from the chaos of motion, allows clarity to emerge.
In the grand tapestry of life, these moments of stillness unveil the big picture, reminding us of the importance of reflection.

Seed planters, pivotal figures in our journey, leave lasting imprints. Grandmothers, friends, mentors—like Bill Winston—shape our understanding, challenging us to draw a line on our belief in the scriptures.

The call to go forth into new territories, to put our foot where great faith can flourish, resonates with the essence of Christian life.
It urges us to embrace challenges, knowing that, ultimately, they work for our good and lead to ultimate victory.

In the midst of adversity, a voice echoes, “Prepare the way of the Lord.”
This is no time for slumber or half-hearted Christianity, but a call to focus solely on Jesus, fully abandoned to His powerful coming.

The stories shared today transcend individual experiences; they resonate with a collective strength that emerges when the family of believers gathers in one mind and accord.
As we hear these tales, may they inspire us to steward our own fields and embrace the transformative impact of faith in the marketplace and beyond.

In conclusion, let these stories echo in our hearts, reminding us of the transformative power of God’s grace.
As we ascend and govern, seated in the glory, let Psalm 24 be our anthem for 2024.
May we collectively embrace the call to navigate the challenges, redeem the time, and ascend to new heights, governed by the glory of the Almighty.

It is a call to let Him lead, to be in control, and to declare Him as the Lord of our lives and our church—holy, abandoned to Him only.

Allow me to recount a tale of a journey where a part of the tour had to be put off due to the risky territories guarded by killer gangs infiltrating from Pakistan.
In the face of adversity, the choice to let God lead becomes paramount, a decision that shapes the course of our lives.

Now, let me share with you the powerful testimony of Mike Bickel.
His journey, marked by challenges, underscores the importance of forgiveness and the enduring power of God’s love.
Mike’s resilience in the face of difficulties speaks volumes about the transformative nature of a life surrendered to the Lord.

In a world where forgiveness seems fleeting, the journey towards it is often challenging.
A poignant reflection comes from one who says, “I knew I must forgive, and tried, but it couldn’t last.”
It’s a testament to the struggle we face in surrendering our hurts and pain to the One who can truly heal.

People continues to share that armed with the assurance of God’s guidance, one sought to excel in all that was entrusted to him.
This echoes the profound truth that surrendering to God’s plan doesn’t lead to stagnation but empowers us to excel in the assignments laid before us.

We are living in a John 3:16 era, an imminent revival focusing on souls and the Great Commission.
The challenges we face may seem like setbacks, but the Lord declares, ‘I am stepping in to set you up and send you forth as my select arrow.’
It is a divine orchestration, a recalibration for a greater purpose.

A decade after a personal revelation, someone published “Counting To God:
A Personal Journey Through Science to Belief.”
This reflects the transformative power of surrender, a journey from scepticism to a deep-rooted belief in the Creator.

Isaiah 49:17-18 speaks of God’s love and commitment, assuring us that even when we feel abandoned, He remains faithful.
In the face of difficulties, this assurance becomes our anchor.

Peace, the kind that anchors our souls in God’s promises, ensures that our decisions and actions in business resonate with the kingdom purpose and reflect the character of Christ.
It is a peace that surpasses understanding, born out of complete surrender.

As we hear these stories, let us be inspired to embrace the truth that surrendering to God is not a sign of weakness but a declaration of strength. In our surrender, we find victory, and in letting Him lead, we discover the path to true fulfilment.

May we all experience the transformative power of surrender, and may our lives be a testimony to the greatness of our Lord.

Family First Party

Older Post.

I want to shed light on a significant development that has been shaping the political landscape in our great nation. It involves a transformation fuelled by the creation of the Family First Party and the increasing influence of the religious right within the political sphere.

The emergence of the Family First Party stands as a testament to the dynamism of our democratic system. Born out of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God (AOG) church, it represents a union of values and convictions held dear by its members. The melding of religious principles with political activism is a powerful force, and we must acknowledge its impact on our political discourse.

Simultaneously, individuals aligned with the religious right have strategically positioned themselves within the Liberal Party. This strategic alliance allows them to channel their values and beliefs into mainstream politics, contributing to the shaping of policies and agendas.

Marion Maddox, an esteemed scholar from the school of art history, classics, and religious studies at Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, has provided invaluable insights into this phenomenon.
In her work, “God Under Howard, the Rise of the Religious Right in Australian Politics,” she highlights the significance of the Family First Party and the increasing influence of the religious right.

The election of a Family First senator serves as a landmark moment, signalling the growing power and prominence of the religious right in our political landscape. As we witness this shift, it is essential for us to engage in open and respectful dialogue, understanding the perspectives that shape these movements.

The intersection of faith and politics has always been a complex and delicate balance, but it is crucial for us to recognize that diverse voices contribute to the rich tapestry of our democracy. The religious right, with its growing influence, brings unique perspectives that must be acknowledged and understood within the broader context of our democratic principles.

In navigating this evolving political landscape, let us foster an environment where diverse viewpoints are heard, respected, and debated. It is through dialogue and understanding that we can ensure our democratic ideals remain robust and inclusive.

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I encourage each one of you to reflect on your own journey, to perceive your assignments, and to find your unique lane for 2024. Let us be intentional about making much of Jesus in our daily lives, not just within the confines of our faith communities but also in the broader world where our influence can bring light to the darkest corners.

The world is in need of hope, love, and a message that transcends the transient nature of our earthly existence. As you embark on this new year, may you find the courage to share your faith boldly, to be a beacon of light, and to make much of Jesus in ways that resonate with those around you.

May your journey be filled with purpose, and may you discover the joy of being instruments of grace and love in the lives of others.

Today, I am honoured to share with you a message that transcends personal success and material wealth. It is a vision, a calling that goes beyond the conventional understanding of entrepreneurship. In the words of our visionary, Houston, it is about being effective, resourceful, and committed to reaching beyond ourselves.

Houston defines himself not as an entrepreneur but as a visionary. His vision is rooted in the core principles of Hillsong, a message that extends beyond personal wealth and success. Instead, it is a call to personal effectiveness, a challenge to live resourceful lives that enable us to extend our reach far beyond our own tables.

At the heart of this vision is the idea that faith isn’t just about putting food on our own tables; it is about committing to look beyond those tables and ensuring that others have sustenance as well. It is a powerful shift in perspective, urging us to consider the impact of our actions on the lives of those around us.

In this pursuit, Houston and Hillsong stand as beacons of a message that encourages selflessness, generosity, and a commitment to the well-being of others. It is a call to live in a way that empowers us to fulfil heavenly mandates, to be the instruments through which God’s love and compassion are manifested in the world.

As we reflect on this vision, let us recognize that unity is key to achieving great things. Houston speaks of a shared sacred language, a common purpose that unites nations. He envisions a world where people are of one mind, one accord, speaking the language of compassion, love, and unity.

In this unified state, there is nothing that the nations cannot accomplish. It is a divine mandate, a call to work together towards a shared vision of a world where everyone has a seat at the table, where resources are shared, and where the well-being of one is intertwined with the well-being of all.

As we move forward, let us be inspired by this vision. Let us strive for personal effectiveness, live resourceful lives, and extend our reach beyond ourselves. May we be catalysts for positive change, united in purpose, and committed to fulfilling the divine mandates that guide us towards a world of compassion, unity, and shared abundance.

Thank you, and may our collective efforts bring forth a world where the sacred language we speak is one of love, understanding, and collective prosperity.

A Year of Rebuilding

Let us share the incredible journey of a man who dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel through the pioneering use of technology.
Reverend Billy Graham, a name synonymous with evangelism, took the command of Jesus in Mark 16:15 to heart, going into all the world to preach the good news to all creation.

From the early days of radio and television to the realms of film and the internet.
Billy Graham embraced new technologies as tools to fulfil Christ’s commission.
In 1989, he initiated a series of Crusades via satellite, extending his preaching to live audiences in more than 185 countries and territories.
His commitment to reaching people knew no boundaries, from remote tribal villages to major world capitals.

Billy Graham’s legacy is not only marked by the numerous Crusades he conducted but also by his unwavering dedication to sharing hope in Christ.
Subsequently, in March 2006, he and his son Franklin travelled to New Orleans, delivering a message of hope to tens of thousands recovering from Hurricane Katrina.
At the age of 88, he spoke at the Franklin Graham Metro Maryland Festival in July 2006 and dedicated the Billy Graham Library in May 2007.

Mr. Graham’s message of hope in Christ continued to resonate, becoming a focal point of the North American outreach, My Hope with Billy Graham, in November 2013.
His life exemplified the spirit of continuous outreach, adapting to new technologies to reach hearts and souls with the timeless message of salvation.

As we reflect on the past year, I am reminded of a powerful message: “Can’t you see that I have been REBUILDING you?”
Just as God delivered Reverend Graham from wrong situations and relationships, outdated assignments, and limited mindsets, He is at work in our lives too.

“I am calling in my harvest,” the Lord declares.
Just as Seymour and others spread the fire of Pentecost across America, God is igniting a movement in our midst.
Surrendering our parameters, expectations, and time limits allows God to lay the bricks of the movement He has always longed for us to see.

We don’t need to compare anymore.
In 1900, a revival broke out among South African Boer soldiers, and in 1904, Gypsy Smith reaped a great harvest. God’s timing is perfect, and as we surrender, we can trust Him to declare His thoughts and plans for our lives.

So let us embrace this season of rebuilding, of surrender, and of expectation.
Just as Billy Graham embraced technology to spread the Gospel, let us embrace the tools and opportunities God provides for us to fulfil our own unique mission.
The Lord is at work, and as we yield to His plans, we can expect a harvest beyond our wildest dreams.

May God bless you all abundantly with a message of liberation, a message of the divine cutting of every man-made yoke, agreement, and alignment.
For it is written, “All man-made yokes, agreements, and alignments are being severed because God wants you free.”

As we gather here, let us reflect upon the words found in Matthew 14:23: “After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray.
Night fell while he was there alone.” In the quiet moments of solitude, Jesus sought communion with the Father.
Likewise, in our own lives, God calls us to retreat into His presence, to seek His guidance and wisdom in the stillness of prayer.

To the remnant, those who have wrestled through the mess of this season, who have fallen on their knees a thousand times, and felt the weight of the hard road they’ve walked – hear the voice of the Lord speaking to you today.
“Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?” says the LORD.
“Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?” says your God. God is faithful to bring forth what He has promised, and the pain of the process will give way to the joy of delivery.

Today, let us draw inspiration from the fire carriers of Britain, those who carried the torch of God’s Word with fervour.
Consider the impact of Wigglesworth’s healing meetings in Melbourne, where the sick were invited to receive special prayer and anointing.
His faith-filled proclamation brought healing to many, testifying to the power of belief and action.

Reflecting on the ministry of Smith, who witnessed the dead raised, thousands saved and healed, and whole continents impacted for Christ, we see the power of adhering to simple yet profound principles: read the Word of God, consume it until it consumes you, believe it, and act on it.

As we approach 2024, let us take heed of the caution to not view it as any other year.
There is a call for a specific posture, a deep sense of holiness surrounding it.
In the midst of seeking the Lord’s guidance, a shift occurred – a discontent that led to dreams of ascending the mountain to be with Jesus.
Our posture for the coming year requires a deep, intimate connection with the Lord, a willingness to ascend to higher places in Him.

In conclusion, let us embrace the divine severing of man-made yokes, agreements, and alignments.
Let us ascend the mountain in prayer, embracing the birthing process of God’s promises, and learn from the fire carriers and faithful ministers of history.
May the Holy Spirit guide us in our posture for 2024, and may we be attuned to the divine shifts God desires in our lives.
