Preaching in Plainfield

Speaker: Abigail
Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ! It is a joy and an honor to stand before you in this blessed city of Plainfield. As I drove past the Indianapolis International Airport, I felt the Lord impress upon my heart that just as this city connects people to destinations far and wide, He is calling us to be connectors of His Kingdom—to carry the message of salvation to those around us.

Plainfield is thriving, with its growing community of families and professionals, its bustling shops and restaurants along East Main Street and Quaker Boulevard, and its massive warehouse district. But in the midst of this growth, I sense that God is calling His people to something deeper. A revival is coming, and it begins with us.

The Midnight Hour
I had a dream, and in this dream, I saw a clock on the wall. The hands were moving swiftly, and it was close to midnight. The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “This is the midnight hour—a time of urgency, a time to awaken!” Church, we are standing at the edge of something great, but we must be prepared!

In the book of Matthew, Jesus told the parable of the ten virgins—five were wise, and five were foolish. The wise ones had oil in their lamps, ready for the bridegroom’s arrival. The foolish ones were unprepared, and when the moment came, they were left outside. Are we ready, Church? Is our oil burning brightly, or have we allowed the distractions of life to dim our fire for God?

Some of us have been through a season of contending, of fighting, of pioneering. We have felt disillusioned, lost, and weary. But I hear the Lord saying, “I am restoring you! I am filling your lamps again!” This revival will not just be an emotional experience; it will be a movement that changes lives! It will be about winning the lost, healing the broken, and transforming hearts.

China, Russia, and Iran dominate the headlines. Fear grips the world, but we are not called to fear! The Lord is raising up a remnant that will stand in boldness and authority, moving in the gifts of healing, prophecy, and deliverance. Just as Daniel was restored overnight, God is restoring His people to leadership in this nation and beyond.
The enemy has tried to steal our voices, but Church, it is time to rise! The Lord is training us in the power of words. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that life and death are in the power of the tongue. What we speak will manifest in our lives and in our circumstances.

I recall the story of a couple—both husband and wife died shortly after one another, but before their passing, they witnessed triumphantly to the hope of Christ and eternal life. That is the kind of testimony God is calling us to live. A testimony of faithfulness, of joy, of perseverance!

Some of you here today have been carrying promises that the enemy has tried to abort. You have faced trials, you have faced loss, and you have questioned, “God, where are you?” But I tell you today, just as Job cried out, “Oh, that I knew where I might find Him!”—God has never left you. He has been refining you, preparing you for what is to come.

I was informed recently of a financial blessing—a pension increase of $200. Some may see this as a small thing, but I saw it as a sign! A sign that supernatural provision is coming to God’s people. Expect increases, expect breakthroughs, expect miracles!

God is calling His daughters and sons to stand at the crossroads of “New Beginnings.” Will you declare, “Here I am, Lord, send me!”? Will you trust Him in the midnight hour? The world has radically changed since the turn of this century, and sin has increased, but where sin abounds, grace abounds even more!

The Spirit of God is saying today: “Breathe Me in, and I will fill you with everything you need to fulfill My call upon your life.” It is time to occupy the land the Lord has promised!

Closing Prayer and Call to Action:
If you have been feeling weary, if you have been questioning your purpose, if you know that God is calling you to something greater, I invite you now to respond. Step forward in faith! Let us pray together for revival in Plainfield, in Indiana, and in this nation!

Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your mercy and Your call upon our lives. We ask for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, that we would be fearless, that we would be bold, and that we would walk in the power and authority You have given us. Ignite the fire within us, Lord! May we be vessels of Your glory, ready for the midnight hour! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Church, the time is now. This is the midnight hour. Let us arise and shine, for our light has come, and the glory of the Lord is upon us!

Christian Book Club Meeting in Jacksonville

The vibrant city of Jacksonville, known for its sprawling beaches and bustling metropolitan energy, was the setting for a memorable Christian Book Club meeting last Thursday evening. A diverse group of women gathered in a cozy church hall, adorned with soft lighting and an inviting atmosphere, to discuss a book that had been resonating deeply with their hearts. Eden, a passionate and dedicated member of the church, led the meeting with grace and enthusiasm, guiding the group through an inspiring conversation about faith, transformation, and God’s promises.

As Eden opened the meeting, her presence felt like a breath of fresh air in the room. Her calming voice echoed with warmth and conviction as she began with a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness in every season of life. “We are in a time of transformation,” she began, “where God is inviting us into a deeper understanding of His will for our lives, especially in moments of hardship. We’re called to stand stronger in our faith and believe in the finality of what Christ accomplished on the cross.”

The women nodded in agreement, some with tears in their eyes, as Eden reminded them of the power of the resurrection and the depth of God’s love. “Everything has been paid for,” she said, “and it’s important that we step into this truth with conviction. If we truly believe in God’s will, we cannot be shaken by the challenges we face. We must trust that His plan is greater than our circumstances.”

Eden shared a personal testimony of her own journey of faith. She spoke of moments when she questioned God’s plan, when doubts crept in, and when it felt like the weight of life was too much to bear. “There were times I asked, ‘Why isn’t God healing this situation?’ and ‘Why are others struggling when they are good people?’” Eden said, her voice filled with vulnerability. “But then I realized it’s not about understanding everything in our human minds. It’s about trusting in God’s perfect plan and timing.”

A woman named Sarah, sitting in the back of the room, spoke up. “I’ve been struggling with the idea of healing,” she said. “There are days I wonder if it’s really God’s will for me to be healed, especially with my chronic illness. It’s hard to reconcile the suffering with the belief that God wants the best for me.” Eden nodded, her eyes filled with compassion.

“I understand, Sarah,” Eden replied gently. “It’s a difficult concept to grasp, but remember, it’s according to our faith. God’s will is for us to be whole and healed, but it’s also about aligning ourselves with His will and trusting that His timing is perfect. We don’t always understand why things happen, but we have to hold fast to His promises.”

The discussion continued as the group explored various aspects of faith, healing, and God’s will. Eden emphasized the importance of prayer and intercession, explaining how God is inviting His people to pray with greater boldness and conviction. “In these times, He is calling us to pray with wisdom, to lean into His heart, and to intercede on behalf of others,” she said. “We are in a season of transformation, and it’s through prayer that we align ourselves with His purposes.”

As the evening went on, Eden led the group in a powerful time of prayer, where each woman poured out her heart before the Lord, asking for His guidance, healing, and strength. The room was filled with the sweet sound of voices lifted in worship and petition, as the women stood in unity, believing that God would move in their lives and bring about the changes they were praying for.

“There is power in our prayers,” Eden said, her voice firm and full of authority. “When we pray with faith, we release God’s power into our situations. Don’t be discouraged by what you see around you. Keep pressing forward, keep believing, and keep trusting that God is moving on your behalf.”

As the meeting came to a close, Eden encouraged the women to continue pressing into the Lord in their personal lives, to stand firm in their faith, and to believe that God is working all things together for their good. “You are not alone in this journey,” she reminded them. “God is with you, He is for you, and He has a plan for your life.”

The group gathered for one last prayer, hands lifted high, hearts united in their faith. “Lord, we thank You for this time together,” Eden prayed. “We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your power. We ask that You would continue to guide us and strengthen us as we walk in Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

As the women left the church hall that evening, the air was filled with a sense of hope and renewed conviction. The conversation had sparked a fire within each of them, reminding them of the greatness of God’s promises and the power of standing firm in faith. For many, it was a turning point, a moment where they chose to embrace the truth that “It is done” — everything has been paid for through the Cross and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In the heart of Jacksonville, a city known for its blend of energy and tranquility, the women walked out of the church, knowing they were stepping into a season of transformation, prayer, and breakthrough. They were armed with faith and confidence, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that their God was bigger than anything they could imagine.

The words “It is done” echoed in their hearts, a reminder of the truth that had been shared that evening. They were no longer looking at their circumstances with doubt, but with a firm belief that God’s will for them was good and that His plans would unfold perfectly in His time. And so, as they went their separate ways, they carried with them the knowledge that their faith had the power to change everything.

Aurora’s Bible Study in Durango

Nestled in the heart of the Southwest, the small city of Durango is best known for its historic narrow gauge railroad. With its breath-taking scenery and Old West charm, the town serves as an idyllic backdrop for exploration and spiritual reflection. It was in this picturesque setting that Aurora, a devoted believer, led an inspiring Bible study, bringing together a group of locals eager to deepen their faith and understanding of the Scriptures.

Aurora gathered her group in a cozy meeting room in downtown Durango, surrounded by the echoes of the city’s rich history. With the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad passing nearby, she began by drawing a comparison between the well-laid tracks and the firm foundation of faith. “Just as the train follows its path through mountains and valleys,” she said, “so too must we remain on the path of righteousness.”

The group opened their Bibles to Matthew 5:20, where Jesus speaks about righteousness exceeding that of the scribes and Pharisees. Aurora explained that faith is not merely about knowledge but transformation. “We must seek a relationship with Christ that changes our hearts, just as Durango has changed and evolved over the years while still retaining its character.”

The discussion turned to the significance of the Word of God. Aurora referenced Jeremiah 23:28, where the prophet declares that God’s word is like wheat, nourishing and sustaining the soul. “Durango has its historic sites, its beautiful forests and mountains, but nothing sustains like the Word of God,” she said. The group reflected on how Scripture has guided them in their lives, much like the railroad guides passengers through the rugged terrain.

The Bible study continued the following week with a deep dive into prophecy. Aurora pointed to Daniel’s vision of the kingdoms of the world, much like Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. She likened the rise and fall of these empires to the transformation of Durango over time, from a railway town to a thriving center of adventure and history.

The discussion naturally led to the dispersion and gathering of Israel. Aurora highlighted Luke 21:24 and Daniel 9, emphasizing God’s plan for His people. “Just as Durango has seen its history preserved and restored, so too has God preserved His people and promised to restore them,” she shared passionately.

As the session moved forward, they reflected on the promise of eternal life. Reading from Revelation 3:4-5, Aurora encouraged her group to stay steadfast in faith, clothed in the white raiment of Christ’s righteousness. The Old West charm of Durango, she noted, was reminiscent of an era long past, but faith in Christ promises a future that never fades.

Wrapping up the study, Aurora spoke of the importance of forgiveness, referencing Matthew 6:15. “We must forgive, as we have been forgiven,” she reminded the group. The discussion ended with a time of prayer, seeking strength to live out their faith in Durango, a city with a rich past and a promising future, just as believers have a past redeemed and a future secured in Christ.
