Healing: God’s Will and Your Faith

Chapter 1: The Truth of the Gospel

Men live in confusion, misled by ministers, preachers, and writers who muddy the clear truth of God’s Word. Yet, when we read the Gospel plainly, without human interpretations, we see that Jesus healed all who came to Him. Not once did He delay healing or declare it was “not the right time.” These human explanations, designed to absolve personal responsibility, leave people sick and dying prematurely, with false claims like, “God needed another angel.” While those saved go to heaven, we’re not meant to be robbed of fruitful years here on Earth.

Do you believe you have a Healer? Declare: “I have a Savior, and I’m saved. I also have a Healer, and I’m healed. It is His will to heal me.” Healing, like salvation, is God’s will, bought and paid for. Yet millions of Christians doubt this truth, keeping them from receiving His healing power. Faith begins where God’s will is known. Just as salvation comes through knowing God’s love and accepting Jesus, healing comes through believing it’s His will and receiving it by faith. God’s plan is clear: trust in His Word, act in faith, and receive the healing that is already yours.

Chapter 2: Faith’s Role in Healing

God’s promises are accessed by grace through faith. Even if healing is provided, it must be actively received. Just as a meal purchased for you doesn’t satisfy until you take and eat, healing must be appropriated through faith. Many Christians fail to receive because they either doubt God’s will or stray from His path. Disobedience can lead us down roads of unnecessary suffering. But God’s desire is for us to live whole and fruitful lives, walking in alignment with His perfect will.

The Gospels repeatedly highlight faith as a key factor in healing. Jesus often asked, “Do you believe I can do this?” to reveal the importance of personal faith. Whether it was the blind men in Matthew 9 or the woman with the issue of blood, their faith unlocked their healing. Jesus didn’t heal indiscriminately; He worked in partnership with people’s faith. “According to your faith, be it unto you,” He declared. Today, His power remains available. You don’t need anyone else to lay hands on you—simply believe His words and receive His touch right where you are.

Chapter 3: Faith That Moves Mountains

Faith is the foundation for receiving miracles, and Scripture gives us countless examples. In ten out of the nineteen detailed healings in the Gospels, Jesus explicitly credits faith as the determining factor. From the nobleman’s son to the paralytic let down through the roof, their faith activated God’s healing power. Yet, nowhere in Scripture do we find Jesus attributing healing to God’s mysterious will or timing. Instead, He emphasized faith: “Your faith has made you whole.”

Healing, like salvation, is directly tied to belief. Doubting God’s will for healing is akin to doubting His will for salvation—it hinders us from receiving His gifts. While many propagate doctrines that suggest healing is arbitrary, these teachings lack biblical support. Jesus’ words are clear: “As you have believed, so be it done unto you.” When we align our faith with God’s Word, miracles follow. No matter how dire the diagnosis, faith in His promises brings restoration and life.

Chapter 4: The Simplicity of Healing

Healing isn’t complex—it’s rooted in simple, childlike faith. Just as salvation comes by believing in Jesus and confessing Him as Lord, healing is received by believing and declaring His promises. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in us, ready to restore and renew. The enemy wants us to think healing is hard, but God’s Word assures us it’s as straightforward as trusting and receiving.

Testimonies abound of those healed by believing God’s Word. From paralyzed limbs restored to terminal illnesses reversed, the power of faith transforms lives. A woman once paralyzed simply believed she was healed, and her body responded immediately. Jesus has already done the hard part—bearing our infirmities and pains. We need only to believe and receive. His Word is unchanging: “By His stripes, we are healed.”

Chapter 5: Thirty Reasons for Healing

The Word of God is a wellspring of reasons why healing is God’s will. It provides assurance that no matter the condition or the odds, healing is available to all who believe. Like Paul reasoning from the Scriptures, we too can build an unshakable foundation of faith. The Bible offers numerous examples and promises that confirm healing is God’s plan, from Old Testament prophecies to the ministry of Jesus.

Faith comes by hearing the Word repeatedly. God’s promises are clear: He sent His Word to heal and deliver us. As we meditate on Scripture, doubts and fears are replaced with confidence and peace. The Word has the power to transform not just our minds but our bodies. When we know and believe the truth, miracles become inevitable. Healing is not just possible—it is God’s will for you. Say it aloud: “I’ve heard from heaven. I believe His Word. I am healed.”

Healing Ministry for Boulder, Colorado

Boulder, Colorado, was a city of contrasts. Nestled against the Rocky Mountains, it was a place of stunning landscapes and innovative ideas. It had a reputation for blending the natural and the modern. From the famous Bolder Boulder race to its experiments with goats for weed control, Boulder embraced creativity.

Trish and Dan were a part of this community, but their journey was about faith and healing. They were Christians, passionate about God’s Word and its promise of restoration. Dan, in particular, had been studying healing in Scripture.

“God’s Word is medicine,” Dan often said. “Not just for the body, but for the spirit. If you take it long enough, it will heal you.”

Trish understood this truth in a personal way. Her story was one of struggle and redemption. At a recent conference in Boulder, she shared her testimony with hundreds of people.

Trish’s Testimony

Trish stood on the stage, the crowd silent as she began.

“For years, I suffered from a debilitating condition,” she said. “Doctors couldn’t help. I was in pain, physically and emotionally. But then I found hope in God’s Word.”

Her voice grew stronger. “Matthew 4:4 says, ‘Man does not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ I took that to heart. I read the Scriptures daily. I meditated on His promises. I doubled and tripled my intake of God’s Word, just like you would with medicine.”

Trish paused, meeting the eyes of those listening. “It wasn’t immediate, but I began to heal. Slowly, surely, my body responded. God’s Word brought life and health to all my flesh.”

She ended her story with five keys to healing:

  1. Believe that healing is God’s will for everyone.
  2. Immerse yourself in God’s Word—it is medicine.
  3. Speak healing Scriptures over your life daily.
  4. Surround yourself with people who stand in faith with you.
  5. Never give up, no matter how long it takes.

The audience erupted in applause. Many were moved to tears.

Dan’s Vision for Boulder

After Trish spoke, Dan took the stage.

“Friends, Boulder is a place of ideas,” he began. “It’s a place where people think outside the box. But there’s one idea we haven’t explored yet: a healing center built on the principles of God’s Word.”

He described his vision. The center would offer Scriptural teaching, prayer, and community support. It would be a place where people could immerse themselves in God’s promises and find restoration.

“God’s Word is medicine,” Dan said. “And we want to help people take that medicine every day. Imagine a space where we can teach healing Scriptures, where people can meditate on God’s Word, and where prayer and faith bring breakthroughs.”

He shared detailed plans. The center would include a chapel, classrooms, and quiet spaces for meditation. There would be daily Bible studies and healing services.

“This isn’t just a dream,” Dan continued. “It’s happening. We’ve already secured a location near Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks. Construction begins soon.”

The crowd gasped in surprise, then cheered loudly.

A New Chapter for Boulder

That evening, Trish and Dan sat on their porch, looking out at the mountains.

“You were amazing,” Dan said, his voice filled with admiration.

Trish smiled. “I just told the truth. God’s Word does the rest.”

Dan nodded. “This is the start of something bigger than us, Trish. God is moving in Boulder. People will see His power and love like never before.”

As the stars came out, they prayed together, thanking God for what He had done and what was to come. Boulder was about to experience healing—not just in its people, but in its spirit.

Chronic illnesses autoimmune diseases, cancer, and more

Nathan stood backstage, feeling the energy of the crowd. He knew why they had come. Some had traveled great distances, desperate for a miracle, seeking hope in a world of diagnoses and medical charts. Many were suffering from chronic illnesses—heart conditions, autoimmune diseases, cancer, and more. Nathan knew their pain, not just physically, but emotionally. They were told by doctors that their conditions were permanent, that they needed lifelong medication or invasive surgery. But Nathan had seen God work differently.

He stepped onto the stage, microphone in hand. The room grew quiet as he began to speak.

“Hello, my name is Nathan,” he started simply. “I’ve come tonight to share not just words, but life. Life that comes from God. Many of you are carrying diagnoses tonight. You’ve been told there’s no cure, that you’ll need treatments for the rest of your life. But let me tell you a story.”

He began to share the testimony of a woman named T., who had been diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure. “She was told she needed dialysis immediately. Her kidneys were failing fast. The doctors insisted, but she refused. She had already endured years of hospital visits, needles, and machines keeping her alive.”

Nathan paused, letting the story sink in.

“She was ready to give up. But someone reached out to her. They sent her a prayer cloth, something simple, something full of faith. She took that cloth, held it, and prayed. She didn’t need dialysis. She didn’t need surgery. Her kidneys started functioning again. It’s been two months, and she’s still off dialysis. The doctors were shocked, but we weren’t. We serve a God who heals.”

The crowd was silent, hanging on every word. Many had medical reports in their bags, hidden away, reports they feared to open. Nathan could sense their fear, but also their desire for healing.

“Tonight,” he said, “God is going to do what doctors cannot. He’s going to heal where medicine has reached its limits.”

Chapter 2: The Power of Prayer

Nathan began to speak about another case—this time a man with severe hypertension, or high blood pressure. “He was a young man,” Nathan explained, “but his blood pressure was dangerously high. The doctors were monitoring him for a stroke. He was on medication, but it wasn’t enough. He came to one of our prayer meetings, barely able to walk, because his body was so weak from the strain.”

Nathan could still see the young man’s face in his mind. Pale, swollen from the side effects of medication. “We prayed,” Nathan said. “We asked God for wisdom, for healing. We didn’t know what would happen, but we trusted God.”

The next day, the young man had returned to the hospital for routine blood pressure checks. The nurses were surprised—his numbers had dropped dramatically, back into the normal range. The doctors ran more tests, unable to explain the change. They lowered his medication, and eventually, he didn’t need it at all.

Nathan looked into the crowd again. “Some of you are on medication for high blood pressure, for diabetes, for heart disease. You’re managing your symptoms, but you haven’t seen healing. But tonight, we’re going to pray for healing, not just management.”

He walked across the stage, feeling the weight of what was about to happen. “There are people here with chronic conditions—arthritis, fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases. I want you to know that God sees you. He knows what’s happening in your body, and He cares.”

Nathan invited the prayer team to join him. They began moving through the crowd, laying hands on those who needed healing. A woman approached Nathan, her face lined with pain.

“I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis for ten years,” she said. “The inflammation is constant. I’m on medication, but it only helps so much. The doctors say I’ll have it for the rest of my life.”

Nathan smiled gently. “Let’s pray.”

They prayed, asking God to reduce the inflammation, to heal the joints, to restore her body. As they prayed, the woman began to move her hands, her fingers loosening for the first time in years. She smiled through her tears. “The pain is gone,” she whispered. “The stiffness is gone.”

Chapter 3: Miracles in the Night

As the prayer continued, the atmosphere shifted. People were experiencing real, tangible changes in their bodies. Some stood, stretching limbs that had been stiff with arthritis. Others began to breathe more easily, their chests freed from chronic lung conditions.

Nathan told another story, this one about a man who had been suffering from a viral throat infection for weeks. “He could barely speak,” Nathan said. “His throat was inflamed, and his cough was constant. He had been to the doctor multiple times, and they couldn’t do much beyond prescribing antibiotics and steroids.”

But this man came for prayer, and something shifted. “As we prayed,” Nathan said, “the cough stopped. His throat began to heal immediately. The infection left his body, and he could breathe deeply again.”

The crowd was becoming more responsive now. They weren’t just listening; they were believing. People who had come in with chronic pain were standing, testing their bodies, finding that they could move without discomfort.

A young woman approached Nathan, her eyes wide with disbelief. “I came in with back pain,” she said. “My leg was shorter than the other. I’ve had this since I was a child, and it’s caused me so much pain.”

Nathan nodded, having heard many similar stories. “What happened tonight?” he asked.

She smiled, her hands shaking. “I felt my leg grow. I felt it lengthen, and now my hips are even. The pain is gone.”

Chapter 4: Restoring Lives

The stories continued to pour in. Nathan listened, his heart full. This wasn’t just about physical healing; it was about people being restored to life. He told the story of a woman who had been consumed by fear and anxiety.

“She came in knots,” Nathan said. “She was so filled with anxiety that she could barely breathe. Her heart raced, her thoughts were clouded. She couldn’t see a way out.”

Nathan had prayed with her, leading her to renounce the spirit of fear that had taken hold of her life. “As she prayed,” he said, “something broke. She felt the fear lift, the anxiety leave. Her breathing slowed, and she walked out of that room a different person.”

Nathan looked at the crowd, knowing that many were dealing with more than just physical ailments. “God heals the heart,” he said. “He heals relationships. I’ve seen people come in with bitterness and leave with peace.”

He shared another testimony, this time of a woman who had come to the Healing Rooms for prayer while living in a women’s refuge with her two children. “She was homeless, struggling, and didn’t see any way out. But after prayer, things changed. She found a home, a safe place for her and her children.”

Chapter 5: The Journey Continues

As the conference drew to a close, Nathan gathered the people together for a final word. “Healing isn’t always instant,” he said. “For some, it’s a journey. There are people here who have been healed instantly tonight. But there are others who will walk out of here and see healing happen over time.”

He told the story of a man with osteoarthritis, whose healing had taken weeks. “He came in with severe pain in his knees and ankles. The doctors had told him there was nothing they could do but manage his pain with medication. But we prayed. And over the course of weeks, the pain left. Today, he walks pain-free.”

Nathan encouraged the people to keep their faith alive, to continue praying and believing. “God isn’t done with you,” he said. “The healing that has started tonight will continue. For some, it will be immediate. For others, it will be gradual. But in all of it, God is faithful.”

As the people left, they carried not just hope for their bodies, but hope for their souls. They had seen God move, and they believed that the best was yet to come.
